I have to say I am new to this blogging stuff and frankly it has taken me four years to get accustomed to have a laptop in my life at all. My daughter in law visited us last month – we live in France and my daughter in law (and son) comes out to see us quite a bit – which is just lovely us being so far from home, it was one of my biggest concerns about living in a foreign country abroad. She showed me the benefits of having a blog and blogging in general, both to keep in touch with family but also to get involved in online communities so we don’t feel too lonely out here – to be honest we aren’t really lonely at all we have met some really great people here and haven’t looked back at all – there is plenty to do in the evening and there is a real sense of community out here. I thought I would also mention this great new site I have discovered, you can actually order all the British food that we can’t get in France – I mean it is all very well relatives bringing stuff over when they visit but the everyday stuff you just can’t get easily.
